Attorney Karen EA Vache has a diverse work history and educational background. After graduating from law school and receiving her Juris Doctor degree, Karen returned to school and received a Masters of Science in Psychology. She practiced as a therapist, ran a social service agency, and worked for a quasi-state agency in the management of funds for mental health services before returning to the field of law. As a therapist and mental health provider, Karen had significant experience working with families and children. She now combines her human services experience and diverse education to provide a unique approach to resolving legal issues.

Karen believes strongly that not all disputes or divorces have to result in a war. She believes in taking a respectful dignified approach to the issues and encourages parties to develop their own solutions. Karen views the law as the net to capture the cases that can not be resolved independently. Because issues involving families are so personal Karen encourages the parties to maintain control over their solutions rather than abdicating the control to the courts and judicial officers who have no personal knowledge of the situation. In general, the law defines what one may do but does not necessarily say what one should do or what will work best for each individual. Karen's approach is to use the law as a general framework and encourages the parties to think creatively about their own best solution within the framework of the law.
